During COVID-19 restrictions there is only one service at 10:00 am and no other ministries. Please register if you wish to attend a service so that we can ensure safe seating. Please do not forget to bring a mask. Thank you. You are welcome to join us at our Sunday Worship Services held at 8:00 am (to 8:45 am) and at 10:00 am (to 11:15 am). The 8:00 am service is spoken and contemplative in nature while the 10:00 am service includes music and hymns sung with the joyful presence of children. Coffee and conversation follow the 10:00 am service in the church hall downstairs.
Please note that from mid-June until early September there is one service only at 10:00 a.m.
The 10:00 am service’s music includes our Music Team’s participation with hymns sung and accompanied by a variety of instruments. These range from our wonderful Casavant Frères organ, to piano and guitars, on occasion a fine brass choir, as well as solo instrumentalists. Our music and hymnody is drawn from a broad range of sources including the 1998 Anglican hymnal “Common Praise”, the “Songs for a Gospel People” hymnal, and from our own eclectic collection of contemporary liturgical music and hymns.
The readings we share on Sundays follow the Revised Common Lectionary, which can be found HERE.
From early September to mid-June Sunday School is offered to children aged 4 years and older during the 10 a.m. service. We also offer a well supervised Nursery for those children aged 4 years and under. The Nursery is within sight of our place of worship.
The parish of St. Barnabas is alive with a variety of ministries throughout the year. Please click on our Parish Ministry Contacts page to see the many ways in which we seek to serve others in God’s love.
All are welcome! There are two bible studies held each week led by our Rector from early September until mid-June: Wednesday mornings at 10 a.m. and Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. The Wednesday study is followed by the celebration of Holy Eucharist at 11:30 am.
